WHY SHOULD I HIRE A HEALTH COACH?


Many of us consider ourselves “healthy” and yet we struggle to love our body, we judge our fatigue, we compare ourselves to others, we get into constant little ruts and “fall off the wagon” multiple times each year. If you are like most people, you fall into one of two categories: 1) You don’t know what to do to stay on track, or 2) You know pretty much exactly what to do and you just don’t do it, and you’re frustrated! Enter me (or another health coach). A health coach is someone who supports you in developing new and empowering habits that lead to more choice, more fulfillment, more energy, more health, more everyday confidence in your skin!.




HOW DOES COACHING WORK?


We all suffer or thrive depending on our ‘programming’ and the way we relate to the world. As a TCM certified health and life coach, I have been trained extensively in NLP, or Neuro-Linguistic Programming. What this means in a nutshell, is that I have the skills to help my clients spotlight their beliefs and patterns that are keeping them stuck in an undesirable state. We uncover together what is stopping you from having the body and the life that you want. We establish new routines and habits that will crowd out all the “stuff” that is no longer working in your life. We will get you empowered and get you transformed into the person you want to be. After all, this person is already inside you, waiting to emerge.




HOW LONG IS EACH COACHING SESSION?


Regular sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes. Sometimes a program will include additional mini-sessions, which are 25 minutes.




WHERE DO YOU HOLD YOUR COACHING SESSIONS?


My sessions are done via video or telephone, determined by each client’s preference. This provides more flexibility and consistency, since we are able to “meet” even if we are in different locations. Without the need to commute to a session, you can schedule calls with me during your work day and reclaim your evenings! This flexibility in scheduling also means that when you are on vacation or traveling for work, we can still have our regular session each week so that you stay on track.




WHAT ARE YOUR PROGRAM RATES?


Part of our work together includes discovering what makes you unique and powerful in this world. We will find out exactly where you want to go and how to get there. Your journey is going to be different from everyone else I work with. That said, I don’t provide a set “package price” because your investment in my programs is based on your unique needs, your level of commitment and the amount of support we agree on together.




I’M INTERESTED IN CHANGING MY DIET SO I CAN LOSE WEIGHT. WHICH DIET IS THE BEST?


I will not prescribe a “diet” for any client. You may have heard the trope “Diets don’t work”. The truth is, dieting is designed to fail. It’s a $50+ billion-dollar industry that profits off of repeat clients. And most people are repeat clients. Why? Going on a diet is inherently restrictive. Diets don’t “work” because they are not sustainable. You might lose a significant amount of weight if you restrict calories in the short term, and then you stop losing weight or gain it all back because your body gets used to the new calorie count and becomes sensitive to increased food intake beyond your new baseline. You gain weight back, and decide it’s time for another diet because it helped you lose weight before. Yucky little cycle! And no one likes to feel restricted, not temporarily, not ever. Working together we will work to establish more choice, not less. You will learn to listen to your body’s own wisdom and consider how the 6 W’s of eating (Who, What, When, Where, Why and How) can help you gain and maintain a healthy body and stop yo-yo dieting forever!




WHAT IS THE ‘BODY LOVE BOOTCAMP’ AND HOW MUCH IS IT?


I created my 6-week group program, the BODY LOVE BOOTCAMP, to guide people of all shapes, sizes, abilities and genders in developing a stronger connection and relationship to their own body as well as a path toward celebrating the bodies of others that are seen as different from their own. You will learn how to properly nourish your body through food, movement, stretching, breathwork, meditation, positive self-talk, touch, gratitude and more! By the end of 6-weeks you’ll see your body in a whole new light. You will LOVE IT. You’ll have a whole new set of self-care practices. You will lose self-judgment and be free of the “comparison trap” that has so many of us stuck and hating our bodies. You will relish all that your body is capable of, and find grace for yourself at times where your body is not functioning or “looking” its best.

The BODY LOVE BOOTCAMP consists of 6 weekly 45 minute group sessions using video conferencing, as well as a one-on-one coaching session with me for each participant. There is also a private Facebook Group to keep in touch throughout each week, to share loving insights and celebrate wins between sessions, and ask questions of me or other guest “body love leaders”.
